OUR MODEL
FARMER SUPPORT SYSTEM.
HOW WE WORK.
Farmer registration
Farmer expresses interest to UFD by registering with the organisation – submits documents and payment of R70.00 membership fee.
Farmer is captured on our database and is classified as: individual farmer, cooperative, study group and or cluster.
Farmer geolocation
UFD will assign a mentor to go and assess the production area potential for grain farming (verify size, soil, land, water etc).
Farmer contribution
Farmer pays their 50% contribution towards their production inputs per hectare (ha).
Farmer grain production commences
Mentor (technical support and training), inputs and mechanisation are made available to the farmer throughout the season.
Training & data
Throughout the growing season, we train farmers, capture data and insights, conduct yield estimates – all this is enabled with the leading technology that we use, specifically designed for UFD.
